Upcoming Devices Getting AirDrop
Google confirmed these models will gain support soon in 2026:
Why Not All Phones? Hardware Requirements
Support hinges on a chipset-level networking tweak for Apple Wireless Direct Link (AWDL), combined with modem capabilities—excluding most mid-range and older devices. Google balances AirDrop and Quick Share visibility simultaneously, prioritizing flagships for optimal performance.
